Two For Joy Mixed media with nest materials.

I continued the nest theme, working into a different unfinished abstract painting and tearing around its dribbled marks to create a twiggy edge, including holes within the design to exaggerate the effect. I stuck small strips of painted paper on to this to emphasize the nest idea and painted in a pair of magpies. One is guarding its treasure trove of small gold pieces. I may weave some actual bits of a discarded nest into the holes around the edge before framing the artwork.
